The Behavior Training Mount Pleasant Dogs Actually Need.

From aggressive reactivity on the Pitt Street Bridge to perfect manners at Shem Creek—we train dogs for the real Mount Pleasant lifestyle.

Don't Let Your Dog’s Behavior Keep You Home.

Mount Pleasant is one of the most dog-friendly towns in the Lowcountry, but not if your dog is reactive, anxious, or ignores your recall.

You want to enjoy a sunset walk at the Old Village, grab a drink at Red’s, or let them run off-leash at Palmetto Islands County Park. But right now, you’re stuck managing their behavior instead of enjoying their company.

We don’t just teach ‘sit’ and ‘stay.’ We build the neutrality and confidence your dog needs to handle the distractions of Mount Pleasant life—from passing bikes on the bridge to other dogs at the brewery.

Client Testimonials

Sean C
“Our experience with Canine Revolution has been nothing short of amazing. We sent our 7-year-old staffing for training…Kona returned nearly a new dog, in the best ways.

The whole process from start to finish is easy and seamless. Follow up sessions have been detailed and a clear priority of this team of trainers also. The post training option to board and return for continued education is a bonus.

Can’t recommend enough!”
Candace H
“I was nervous to board my dog at first and wondered who would cuddle him and care for him. I met Chad and Hannah on consultation and I was instantly relieved about the care he would receive.

The updated videos each week assured me he was happy, healthy, and making progress in his training. The follow up visits were amazing and helped me ask questions and ask for help on my specific issues.

The boarding and training is worth every penny! I enjoy walking, drills, hiking, bike riding, kayak trips and eating out with my dog so much more now that he is trained.”
Jessica K
“I can’t recommend Canine Revolution highly enough. The team’s care, expertise, and commitment to Charlotte’s success have been outstanding.

If you’re looking for a training program that truly sets your dog up for success, this is the one.

Thank you, Danny and the entire Canine Revolution team, for giving our dog Charlotte (and us!) the tools for a brighter, more balanced future!”
Jerm
“I cannot recommend Chad & The Canine Revolution Dog Training Team enough! Their training program improved our dog's obedience and behavior and completely transformed her emotional well being.

Our dog, Roxy, struggled with anxiety and high energy, which made traveling and new situations stressful for both of us. However, after putting Roxy through the Canine Revolution Dog Training program, we have a completely different dog!”

Before You Decide

These are the three questions we hear most often from Mount Pleasant families considering Canine Revolution. We’d rather address them directly than have them stop you from getting your dog the help they need.

"Is It Worth the Investment?"

We hear this one. And we get it — the investment for professional dog training is real money.

Here’s the question we’d ask you to sit with: what has the problem already cost you?

The dog trainer you hired last year who made things worse. The furniture replaced. The walks you’ve stopped taking because it’s too stressful. The dog park you avoid. The family member who won’t come over. The liability you’re carrying with a dog that’s bitten or snapped.

Add that up — and then add up what your life looks like a year from now with a dog you can take to Shem Creek, Palmetto Islands, or the Pitt Street Bridge without dread.

Our programs are not cheap. They’re not supposed to be. You’re not paying for sessions. You’re paying for a transformation that holds — delivered by a credentialed, veteran-owned team that has done this over 1,000 times. Our programs include lifetime support including in your program investment, no hidden fees, no surprise charges later.

We also offer financing through Affirm and Klarna. Because we believe a dog’s behavior shouldn’t be limited by a payment timeline.

"I Just Adopted a Rescue — Is Board & Train Fair to Them?"

This is one of the most common questions we hear from rescue dog owners. And it comes from a genuinely good place — you care deeply about this dog and you don’t want to let them down.

Here’s what we’ve learned from working with hundreds of rescue dogs: the guilt is human. The dog doesn’t experience it that way.

Dogs don’t need to stay in one place to feel safe. They need structure, consistency, and leadership. A rescue dog that came from chaos, neglect, or a series of placements doesn’t need more uncertainty — they need exactly what a board and train provides: a calm, controlled environment where the rules are clear and the pressure is fair.

At our Dorchester campus — a straight shot drive from Mount Pleasant — your dog is never alone. Our team of 20+ professionals provides 24/7 supervision across a 15-hour active training day. Your rescue dog will be safer, more stimulated, and more supported here than in almost any other environment.

The most loving thing you can do for a rescue dog is give them the tools to succeed in the life you’re building together.

"I Don't Want to Wait — Another Trainer Has Availability Now"

We understand. When your dog is destroying your home or you’re dreading every walk on the Pitt Street Bridge, waiting feels impossible.

But ask yourself one question: why does that other trainer have availability right now?

The best dog trainers — the ones with real results, real credentials, and real client transformations — have waitlists. That’s not a coincidence. It’s the market telling you something.

Immediate availability in this industry usually means one of three things: the trainer is new, the results aren’t compelling enough to generate word-of-mouth, or the program isn’t structured enough to produce consistent outcomes.

We’ve trained over 1,000 dogs in the Charleston Lowcountry since 2017. Our waitlist exists because Mount Pleasant families refer their neighbors. That’s the only marketing that matters.

While you wait, we won’t leave you hanging. We’ll connect you with resources to help manage your dog’s behavior in the meantime — so you arrive at the academy ready to hit the ground running from day one.

Stop Paying for "Warehousing."

Most board-and-trains are just expensive kennels. We are an educational institution.

Your Dog Needs an Education, Not a Sleepover.

Why a Professional Campus Beats the "Home-Based" Model.

Many owners are tempted by trainers who work out of their personal homes because it feels “cozier.”  But true training and / or rehabilitation requires a controlled environment, not a living room.  Why invest in a sleepover for your dog when you are sending them to training for real education?

In a home-based program, your dog is often just “tagging along” with the trainer’s daily life—watching TV, running errands, or mixing dangerously with other dogs in a backyard.  At Canine Revolution, your dog enters a focused academic environment.  We remove the variables, ensure strict safety protocols, and maximize learning time that systematically progresses with your dog’s development..

Safety & Security

Homes have accidents; we have protocols. Home-Based Trainers are a single point of failure- if they have an emergency, your dog is stranded. We combine our secure campus with a 20+ professional team to ensure your dog is never unsupervised or vulnerable.

Curriculum vs. Chores

Home trainers are often distracted by laundry, kids, their own dogs, cooking, etc. Our staff is on the clock—your dog receives 100% of our professional focus the entire time, not just passive supervision from the couch.

Structured Socialization

A living room can create anxiety and excitement, not skills. That doesn't maximize your training investment. We use structured pack walks to teach your dog neutrality and calmness around other dogs.

20+ Professional Staff

Never understaffed. 24/7 Supervision.

FAQs

Not if you choose our Board & Train programs! We know the drive can be long, so we offer a Complimentary Pickup Service for our Mount Pleasant clients. We transport your dog from your home to our rural training campus in Dorchester, where they learn in a calm, distraction-free country environment. Then, we reintroduce them to the “real world” by training at popular Mount Pleasant landmarks to ensure their obedience holds up everywhere. At the end of their stay, we bring them back home to you for your turnover lesson. You get the results without the commute!

Absolutely. We provide private training sessions right where you need them most—whether you live in the Old Village, Park West, Carolina Park, or strictly in an apartment setting. We come to you to fix behavioral issues in your dog’s natural environment.

Yes. This is one of our most requested goals! We specialize in “public access” training. We teach your dog to be neutral and calm around high-distraction environments like the Pitt Street Bridge, crowded patios, and busy passing dogs, so you can actually enjoy your beer in peace.

We certainly can. Nuisance barking is a major issue in Mount Pleasant’s denser neighborhoods and apartment complexes. We use balanced training methods to quickly curb excessive barking and boundary anxiety, helping you stay on good terms with your neighbors (and your HOA).

Yes. We do not turn away “difficult” dogs. Whether your dog lunges at other dogs on the walking trails or has a history of nipping, our behavioral modification programs are designed to safely rehabilitate these behaviors.

Positive-only methods often fail when distractions are high—like squirrels at Palmetto Islands or other dogs on the Pitt Street Bridge. We use a balanced approach that builds reliability in the real world, not just in a quiet classroom. We don’t just bribe your dog with treats; we teach them a mindset of calmness and focus that holds up everywhere in the Lowcountry.

Yes. We believe every Mount Pleasant family deserves a well-behaved dog. We offer flexible payment plans and financing options to make our Board & Train and Private Coaching programs accessible. Contact us for details during your free evaluation.

100%. A reliable recall (coming when called) is the foundation of our programs. We build rock-solid off-leash reliability so you can confidently let your dog run at the beach or Palmetto Islands County Park without fear of them taking off.

Only if they are ready! “Second Sunday” is the ultimate test of a dog’s nerves. While it’s in downtown Charleston, many of our Mount Pleasant clients love taking the short drive over. Our training specifically prepares dogs for this level of chaos—crowds, other dogs, and loud noises—so you can enjoy the stroll without stress.

Palmetto Islands County Park (right here in Mount Pleasant) is fantastic, but only if your dog has reliable recall. Dog parks can be unpredictable. We train your dog to be neutral around other dogs and to come back the second you call them, ensuring they stay safe whether you’re at the dog park or running off-leash at the beach.

The Lowcountry heat is no joke. We recommend early morning walks on the Pitt Street Bridge for the breeze, or utilizing the heavy shade at Laurel Hill County Park. Our training also emphasizes “mental exercise” (like place work and obedience drills), which tires your dog out faster than a 3-mile walk in the sun—perfect for July in Mount Pleasant.

Shem Creek is “Expert Mode” for dogs due to the tight boardwalks, passing boats, and crowds at places like Red’s or Saltwater Cowboys. We specialize in fixing this exact issue. We teach your dog to ignore distractions and remain in a calm “heel” or “down-stay,” allowing you to enjoy a sunset drink without apologizing for your dog’s barking.
