Myrtle Beach Dog Training | The Program Families Drive For

A 20-acre campus, 20+ professional staff, and a six-week standard — because two weeks was never going to hold.

Grand Strand Families Don't Come to Us for Convenience.

There is no shortage of dog trainers along the Grand Strand. There is a shortage of programs built to fix a dog that is genuinely broken. Most of what is available near you is a two-week package, a national franchise with one operator, a mobile trainer, or a boarding kennel that added training to the menu. We are a 20-acre academy in Dorchester with 20+ professional staff and a curriculum that runs fifteen hours a day, and Myrtle Beach families have been sending us dogs for years — usually after something closer did not hold. Your dog stays with us for the program, so the drive costs you two trips, not a standing appointment.

Dog Training Myrtle Beach SC | Canine Revolution Dog Training

Lowcountry Roots, High-Level Discipline.  As Citadel Alumni, US Navy Veteran, and Prior Law Enforcement, we built The Canine Revolution Academy on the principles of consistency, leadership, and respect.  We don’t use guesswork; we use proven methods honed by years of training dogs.  When you trust us with your dog, you are hiring a professional standard of care that “hobby trainers” simply can’t match.

Award-Winning Dog Training in the Charleston Lowcountry

Canine Revolution Dog Training was voted Best Dog Trainer 2026 in the Summerville Journal Scene Readers’ Choice Awards, named Best of Mount Pleasant by Mount Pleasant Magazine readers in 2023, and selected as a finalist in The Post and Courier’s Charleston’s Choice 2026 Dog Training category. All three are decided by public vote.

From Our Dorchester Academy to Your Myrtle Beach Doorstep

Logistics first, because it is the thing every Grand Strand family asks about. Your dog lives on campus for the whole program, so this is two trips rather than a weekly commitment. You drive out, or we quote you mileage and handle the drive. We also try to line up two or three Myrtle Beach dogs on the same start date, which makes the schedule far easier to run — ask about the next Grand Strand intake group on your call.

The Three Pillars of Success

Professional Concierge Logistics

We run Grand Strand intake in groups when the timing works. Same start date, coordinated pickup, and your dog is not the only one making the trip. Ask what the next group looks like.

Immersive 20-Acre Academy

Your dog trains on 20 fenced acres with 20+ professional staff and a curriculum running 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Not a franchise territory. Not a mobile trainer's schedule. Not a kennel that also does lessons.

Reliable Public Access Integration

The goal is not obedience in an empty room. It is a dog you can walk through Market Common on a Saturday, take down to the beach outside restricted hours, and trust in a crowd of people who came here to be on vacation.

Find Your Perfect Training Program

We provide a structured path for every owner, ensuring your training matches your lifestyle goals.

Board and train

The Academy: Complete Transformation Immersion

Our Premier Training Standard.

Six weeks is our standard and we do not apologize for it. The first stretch is relationship, engagement and eye contact — skip that and every command after it is a negotiation. Then obedience. Then proofing against crowds, other dogs, traffic and open space until the behavior holds without you managing it. Four weeks is available when the dog and the goals fit. Under four weeks we will not sell, which is worth knowing in a market where two-week programs are the default.

Prices starting at $4,726

One-on-One Coaching: Personalized Private Lessons

Professional Guidance for the Hands-On Owner.

Private coaching is $400 a session and puts you on the leash with a professional beside you. At three hours out that is impractical as a recurring thing, and we will tell you so rather than sell you a package you cannot realistically use. For Grand Strand families, Board & Train is the option that actually fits.

Prices starting at $400 per session

Puppy Foundations: The Best Start for Your New Companion

Building Confidence from Day One.

Designed for puppies between 8 to 16 weeks of age, this program focuses on building a strong bond and healthy engagement. We help you raise a confident, neutral dog from the start. Once a dog surpasses 16 weeks, we recommend transitioning to our immersion programs at the Academy for advanced reliability.

Prices starting at $400 per session

Trusted by Myrtle Beach Dog Owners

The Myrtle Beach families who end up here are rarely price shopping. They are usually on a second or third attempt with a dog that has aggression, serious reactivity or a bite history, and they have worked out that another hour a week is not the answer. We are 1,000+ graduates in. Owner-operated by a Citadel Alumni and Navy veteran with police K9 experience. IACP professional member. That is a specific set of credentials, not a badge on a website — and it is the reason the hard cases come to us.

We use precise communication to pinpoint exact moments of success, making it easy for your dog to learn what is expected of them.

Engagement-Based Focus

A dog that wants to check in with you is a dog that will still listen with a boardwalk’s worth of distraction in front of it. We build that engagement first and everything downstream gets easier.

Reliable Proofing

We ensure behaviors are proofed in multiple environments before your dog returns home, ensuring the habits stick.

Specialized Support for "Tough Cases"

If your dog is displaying reactivity, anxiety, or lunging on the leash, they aren’t being spiteful—they are simply overwhelmed by their environment. We are the final authority for behavior modification in the Lowcountry.

Exclusive Alumni Boarding: A Sanctuary for Graduates

Lifetime support does not stop at the county line. When we cannot get you in for an in-person follow-up, we run it by video — same trainers, same program, same access. Grand Strand families have been working with us this way for years. Distance changes the format, not the commitment. Graduates are also welcome back to board with us, on a campus your dog already knows.

Join the Revolution: Train with Us

It doesn’t matter if you’re dealing with obedience challenges, anxiety, or other unwanted behavior.
We have a wide variety of programs available to suit your needs.

We Wrote The Manual on Leash Training

Don’t just walk your dog—lead them. The Ultimate Leash Training Manual breaks down our proven 5-step system to stop pulling, build engagement, and master the walk. It’s the exact biological fulfillment method we use with every dog in our program.

Client Testimonials

Sean C
“Our experience with Canine Revolution has been nothing short of amazing. We sent our 7-year-old staffing for training…Kona returned nearly a new dog, in the best ways.

The whole process from start to finish is easy and seamless. Follow up sessions have been detailed and a clear priority of this team of trainers also. The post training option to board and return for continued education is a bonus.

Can’t recommend enough!”
Candace H
“I was nervous to board my dog at first and wondered who would cuddle him and care for him. I met Chad and Hannah on consultation and I was instantly relieved about the care he would receive.

The updated videos each week assured me he was happy, healthy, and making progress in his training. The follow up visits were amazing and helped me ask questions and ask for help on my specific issues.

The boarding and training is worth every penny! I enjoy walking, drills, hiking, bike riding, kayak trips and eating out with my dog so much more now that he is trained.”
Jessica K
“I can’t recommend Canine Revolution highly enough. The team’s care, expertise, and commitment to Charlotte’s success have been outstanding.

If you’re looking for a training program that truly sets your dog up for success, this is the one.

Thank you, Danny and the entire Canine Revolution team, for giving our dog Charlotte (and us!) the tools for a brighter, more balanced future!”
Jerm
“I cannot recommend Chad & The Canine Revolution Dog Training Team enough! Their training program improved our dog's obedience and behavior and completely transformed her emotional well being.

Our dog, Roxy, struggled with anxiety and high energy, which made traveling and new situations stressful for both of us. However, after putting Roxy through the Canine Revolution Dog Training program, we have a completely different dog!”

Before You Decide

Most Myrtle Beach owners land on the same three questions before they book. Here they are, answered straight.

"Is It Worth the Investment?"

Board & Train starts at $4,726, and you will find programs near you for less than half that. They are not the same product. A solo trainer or a franchise territory carries one person and low overhead, and the price is honest about what it is. We carry a campus, a payroll and round-the-clock supervision. The question is not which is cheaper — it is which one you only have to buy once. Most of the Grand Strand families sitting on our discovery calls have already answered that the expensive way.

"I Just Adopted a Rescue — Is Board & Train Fair to Them?"

It is fair to them, and for most rescues it is the kinder path. A shelter dog runs on stress rather than stubbornness, and stress does not resolve through more freedom — it resolves through predictability. Six weeks of one routine, one set of expectations and one clear line of communication is what lets a rescue finally exhale. We are not taking your dog’s personality away. We are giving it a job and a leader so it can stop guessing.

"I Don't Want to Wait — Another Trainer Has Availability Now"

Then take it, if the program is right — we would rather you got help than waited. But ask the questions that separate a program from a person: how many staff are on site, what your dog does for the other fourteen hours of the day, what happens if the trainer has a family emergency in week three, and how long the program actually runs. In a market where two weeks is the going rate, that last question does most of the work.

Stop Paying for "Warehousing."

Most board-and-trains are just expensive kennels. We are an educational institution.

Your Dog Needs an Education, Not a Sleepover.

Why a Professional Campus Beats the "Home-Based" Model.

Many owners are tempted by trainers who work out of their personal homes because it feels “cozier.”  But true training and / or rehabilitation requires a controlled environment, not a living room.  Why invest in a sleepover for your dog when you are sending them to training for real education?

In a home-based program, your dog is often just “tagging along” with the trainer’s daily life—watching TV, running errands, or mixing dangerously with other dogs in a backyard.  At Canine Revolution, your dog enters a focused academic environment.  We remove the variables, ensure strict safety protocols, and maximize learning time that systematically progresses with your dog’s development..

Safety & Security

Homes have accidents; we have protocols. Home-Based Trainers are a single point of failure- if they have an emergency, your dog is stranded. We combine our secure campus with a 20+ professional team to ensure your dog is never unsupervised or vulnerable.

Curriculum vs. Chores

Home trainers are often distracted by laundry, kids, their own dogs, cooking, etc. Our staff is on the clock—your dog receives 100% of our professional focus the entire time, not just passive supervision from the couch.

Structured Socialization

A living room can create anxiety and excitement, not skills. That doesn't maximize your training investment. We use structured pack walks to teach your dog neutrality and calmness around other dogs.

20+ Professional Staff

Never understaffed. 24/7 Supervision.

15-hour Active Day

Your Dog, Trained for Your Life.

Stop stressing about the walk. Start enjoying Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand.

The most common feedback we hear from clients? They can’t believe they didn’t get started sooner.

Getting your dog here is simpler than it looks. You can drive out, or we quote you mileage and handle the drive — settled on the discovery call, before you commit to anything. We also run Grand Strand intake in groups where the timing allows, so ask what the next one looks like. When two or three dogs start from the same stretch of coast on the same date, the whole thing gets easier to coordinate.

FAQs

Yes, regularly. Grand Strand families have been sending us dogs for years — Carolina Forest, Market Common, Surfside, North Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. Your dog lives and trains at our 20-acre academy in Dorchester, SC for the length of the program, then comes home.

Two ways, and we settle it on the discovery call. You can drive your dog out, or we quote transport and handle it. Because your dog stays with us for the whole program instead of commuting to weekly sessions, it is two trips total — which is what makes the distance a non-issue for the families who choose us. We also run Grand Strand intake in groups where we can: when two or three dogs start from the same stretch of coast on the same date, the scheduling gets a great deal simpler for everybody. Mileage applies either way, and you will have that number before you commit to anything.

Because most of what is available near you is a two-week program, a franchise, a mobile trainer or a boarding kennel that also trains. We are a 20-acre campus with 20+ professional staff and a curriculum that runs fifteen hours a day, owner-operated by a Citadel graduate and Navy veteran with police K9 experience. That is not a marketing difference. It is a structural one, and it is the reason dogs that failed somewhere else finish here.

Because two weeks does not hold. You can teach a dog commands in two weeks. What you cannot do is proof those commands against real distraction, build the relationship underneath them, and give the behavior enough repetition to survive going home. That is why so many owners call us having already paid for a two-week program — the dog came back impressive and was gone again inside a month. Six weeks is our standard. Four is available. Under four we will not sell, at any price.

Because we are not running the same business. A mobile trainer or a solo franchisee has one person and low overhead, and the price reflects that. We carry a 20-acre campus, 20+ professional staff, 24/7 supervision and a fifteen-hour training day. If the cheapest option produced lasting results, nobody would drive three hours to us. The families who do have usually already bought the cheaper version once.

You get the same lifetime support every client gets — we just deliver it by video when we cannot get you in person. Same trainers, same program, same access. Distance changes the format, not the commitment. Grand Strand families have been running on video follow-ups with us for years and it works.

You get regular video updates through the program, so you are watching the progress rather than wondering about it. That matters more at your distance than it does for a family twenty minutes down the road, and we treat it that way.

Yes. Behavior modification for aggression, severe reactivity, fear-based responses and anxiety is a large share of what we do, and a number of our dogs arrive after another trainer declined them or handed them back unchanged. Be straight with us about bite history on the call so we can scope the program honestly.

Only outside the restricted hours, and only with genuine voice control. Myrtle Beach and the surrounding towns restrict dogs on the beach during summer daytime hours, and outside those windows your dog is expected to be under control. A recall that works in your yard and fails at a shorebird is not control. Building a recall that holds against birds, other dogs and open water is exactly what our off-leash work produces. Rules vary town to town along the Strand, so check your own before you rely on them.

Your puppy needs to have completed the vaccination series, which usually lands around 16 to 17 weeks. There is no upper age limit for adult dogs — we have turned around plenty of eight- and nine-year-olds.

Board & Train starts at $4,726. Mileage from the Grand Strand is quoted separately and you will have that number before you commit. Financing is available and we will walk you through the options on the call.

Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Carolina Forest, Market Common, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island and Conway.
