I absolutely adore my pup Monte, who wouldn’t love the face below but he had some issues; excessive barking, not listening, a lot of mouthing, potty training difficulties.Chad with Canine Revolution was awesome! When Chad picked up Monte for his 4-week training my family and I were immediately comfortable with Chad, he quickly evaluated Monte, saw his needs and provided an overview of Monte’s anticipated training and answered all of our questions. Chad sent two videos a week and was very attentive to emails and questions. Monte returned a different dog; one who listens, no mouthing, no accidents in the house, leash walking a breeze, no chewing shoes. Chad and Canine Revolution was worth every penny. I now take Monte everywhere and l’m very proud of his behavior. Chad and Canine Revolution has far exceeded my expectations and I’m extremely please with the outcome.T. Grant, North Charleston,SC

If Biscuit the Doberman could type out this review for Lexy and everyone else at Canine Revolution, he would! Canine Revolution has improved not only Biscuit's world, but ours as well. Their training methods work well with our dog to set himself up for success, increasing his confidence, decreasing his insecurities, and creating healthy and respectful boundaries with us. Canine Revolution is different from other dog trainers that we have used previously, not only due to their effective training methods, but their genuine desire to make sure you and your dog's goals are met. Grateful for you all thank you.

Having my German Shepherd trained by Chad and Erin has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I was at a loss with how to control my dog and his reactivity to other dogs, people and cats. Duke is a different dog now thanks to Canine Revolution, and I am so very grateful. The unlimited follow up sessions, as well as the monthly group classes help me to keep Duke (and myself) focused and on track with our training. Thank you Chad, Erin and all of the Canine Revolution team!

My dog has struggled with aggression toward other dogs his whole life. We sent him to Chad when we got a new puppy, after we were so so so scared about introducing moose to the puppy. 8 weeks later of hard work, I almost teared up last night after watching Moose play with the new puppy in the yard. I truly did not think that could ever happen. It has changed my life- and Moose’s. He seemed so happy to be able to play with another dog and not be so anxious and attacking them. Before we would have to have our friends leave their dogs in the yard, with Moose inside, if they wanted to come in. Now I can leave the house knowing both Moose and the puppy are safe and happy. Moose has a whole new way about him and seems so much more mature and happy. Thank you so so so so much, Chad & Crew!!

I can’t think of a better place to make your best friend your best behaved friend! You really do get to live the dog owner’s dream with the training you get here! We had Chris Tipton, and he was amazing! But even better is you don’t just get Chris, as great as he was with working with Leia, you get the full team there to help you out!!! Leia loved working with Chris and our pup came back as her happy self but better trained! I can’t recommend this place enough!

We could not be happier with the results from training our English bulldog Sarge and pit bull Mushu with Canine Revolution. When we adopted Mushu from a rescue, he was great in all scenarios that did not involve Sarge (all people and even cats were fine) but he was extremely reactive toward Sarge who is also a young male. They couldn’t be in the same room or outside together. Sarge did not react but was a major trigger for Mushu. We had worked with local trainers that had great suggestions but just couldn’t resolve our issues.I had a phone consult with Kevin and he was confident that they could help. We sent our boys to board and train with Chris at Canine Revolution. We received video updates twice a week showing what progress had been made. I was astounded at the results I saw in just two weeks, even more so when they completed four weeks and were walking on leash side by side. Not only do our boys behave calmly in the room together, they learned so much more that allows our family to enjoy them more.Another thing that makes Canine Revolution standout is their follow up after training is completed. Chris has followed up in our home twice since we finished the program and has been available for any training questions and concerns we have. I am 100% satisfied and recommend Canine Revolution for anyone who needs help with their dog.

Our experience with Canine Revolution was wonderful. We contacted them because our Frenchie, Piper, was a menace. Piper was hyper, jumped on everyone and everything, and ate kids toys. Lexy worked her magic and transformed Piper into a well behaved family dog. We are so thankful to have found Lexy!

The team at Canine Revolution is nothing short of amazing! Before we even officially signed up to send our dog, Hazel, to train with them, they were so accommodating. I had several email interactions with Dawn for various questions and she was always prompt and courteous in her response. We were having some difficulty with Hazel and she really needed an intervention. Dawn set up a phone call with trainer Chris to help us work through some of our issues until we decided which way we wanted to go with Hazel’s training. Chris spent about 45 mins on the phone with me going over Hazel’s behavior and provided strategies for us to help her overcome these issues. Shortly thereafter, we requested the in home consult and Kevin came right to our house to assess Hazel. Again, he gave us some great insight in to Hazel’s behavior and ways to try to correct her until she started formal training. We decided to sign Hazel up for the advanced board and train and it was nothing short of amazing. Hazel was assigned to Lexy’s care. Lexy has been amazing to work with. Always patient and kind with Hazel, and with us and our billions of questions and emails. During Hazel’s stay at CRDT, she was extremely well cared for and we couldn’t wait to receive our twice weekly update videos from Lexy showcasing Hazel’s progress. Hazel came back to us a completely different pup. She retained her loving, playful puppy personality while being a much more well mannered and well behaved dog. Maintaining the training takes a lot of effort on the owners part, but CRDT provides tons of support. Lexy has been wonderful about both e-mail and in person follow ups. We’re truly grateful for the service they provide and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.

My 1 year old great dane was already going through the terrible twos so I knew I needed help. I was so nervous thinking about "my baby" being away for 4 weeks. This group is the best! They walked me through every step up to his day of departure and kept me in the loop with multiple videos and texts each week.Clark-Howard has been home a week and he has the basics down and I'm more confident and less stressed knowing he actually listens andcresponds to me now.Worth every minute and every penny.

Lexy and the Canine Revolution training team has been awesome for our family. We sent our seven month old black golden doodle puppy Beau to their four week training camp. From the beginning to end of the training Lexy kept us well informed of the process and Beau’s progress by sending us emails and we also received two videos weekly. When Lexy brought Beau back home to us the transformation was amazing. He was well behaved and was still my sweetest, goofiest bouncy boy we love so much. After being home Beau the puppy would test us but with the follow ups and communication with Lexy we learned so much and Beau is doing great. I would highly recommend Lexy and the Canine Revolution Training so worth the money!!

I recently sent my dog Milo to training at Canine Revolution and to say I am impressed with the results is an understatement! I put off sending him to training for about a year because between the cost and finding a place I was comfortable with it was HARD. This place had much better prices than anywhere I was quoted but from the first conversation to just get information I felt comfortable sending my dog to them. It was 100% worth it. Lexy was my dogs trainer and we absolutely love her. Milo was so excited when she came for his first follow-up and I can tell he genuinely trusts her which is something he is not quick to come to. Before training he was very anxious, barked at every noise and I physically could not walk him because he is 110lbs and was just dragging me down the block. Now I feel comfortable not only walking him anytime by myself but with my mom walking him who is 62. There is so much more I could say but I’ll end with give them a call because won’t regret it!!

Let me tell you about my dog Pockets. We adopted him as a puppy. He was rescued from Georgia along with his mom and siblings. Pockets has anxiety which has caused some behavioral issues. His anxiety was so bad his doctor put him on Trazadone twice a day. Some examples include barking incessantly at anything and everything, breaking a double paned window because the neighbor startled him when bringing the trash cans up to the side of her house, attacking the door whenever someone came in or out. The list can go on and on. We recently moved to South Carolina and decided to get Pockets some training. We reached out to Canine Revolution Dog Training. I did an intake over the phone with them to let them know what was going on with Pockets. They understood what Pockets needs were and ours and set up a pickup date for him. We enrolled him in the 4 week basic training program. Kevin ( his new trainer/best friend) picked him up to go live at the training facility. He came home in 4 weeks a brand new dog. They were able to wean him off of his anxiety meds and worked on his anxiety through their training methods. Pockets is not perfect but he is adjusting beautifully to being home with us and his 2 other doggie companions. Kevin comes to our home and continues to work with not only Pockets but us as his pack. It is still a learning process for us as well keeping up with the training and keeping Pockets on task. His anxiety is so much better and his behaviors are so much less than before he went. He is drug free and happy to be home with his people!! I cannot thank Canine Revolution Dog Training and especially Kevin for helping Pockets and us enough. I highly recommend them for your dog training needs. Kevin is going to take Pockets and my husband and I out on a field trip out in the community so we can take him out to lunch, errands etc in the future. It is a lot of hard work and consistency on the humans part to help your furry friends be the best they can be!!! We love you guys and you always be a part of our family!!!!!

CRDT is PHENOMENAL! If you want a well trained obedient dog, CRDT is the place! I highly recommend them and here is why.I have a male mixed breed dog and is a Singleton! I had no idea what a Singleton puppy was. I read everything I could find and the big picture was not looking good.In fact, the odds were stacked against him. He needed me as much as I needed him. We tried some puppy classes and he did learn. But it was not enough. I have a disability that could continue to worsen so I needed my big boy to be ready to help me.I contacted CRDT in November of last year but was not able to enroll him due to many other situations. In the Spring, I contacted CRDT again and set up a consultation for Luke. Lexy and Erin came out to talk with me about Luke and we decided the 4 week board and train would be best for him. This is one of the best decisions I ever made! They made my future look brighter!I looked forward to the videos every Tuesday and Friday. I was very impressed with the 1st one!!! He was picked-up on Tuesday and by Friday he was already doing well! CRDT is has the greatest trainers/handlers. They were able to do in four weeks something I could not do in a year! Erin was, and still is, great at answering my numerous questions!CRDT has changed my life and Luke's life in a way that would otherwise be impossible. He is not allowed on the furniture like our toy poodle. Another "trainer" told me if one does it, he will also. CRDT helped me prove that person wrong! The time, care and devotion CRDT gives is outstanding! Every dog, like ppl, are not the same. CRDT has a plan or challenge for each pet. They continue to check in, they have classes and boarding for their Alumni!Once you sign up with CRDT, you are a part of their family FUR-EVER!Thank you once again to Erin and Lexy and everyone at CRDT for turning my boy into the dog I knew he could be.I hope to take Luke out to visit them soon.Chad Singer, owner, has the best trainers I have ever seen!

Canine Revolution Training and Lexy have done amazing work for our dogs Willow and Gunnar and for us as a family! We moved to SC with a 1.5 yo 100lb golden pyrenees who needed some confidence and we needed to keep her from knocking down every person she came in contact with. She has a strong independent streak and we needed to get a handle on that. She was a different dog when she came back from 3 weeks with Lexy. She was calm and less demanding. 6 months later we introduced Lexy to our chocolate lab puppy who is a very confident rambunctious little boy (who is not so little any more). 4 weeks later and he knows how to be a part of the family. We highly recommend Canine Revolution. They do awesome work with you and your dogs! We love being able to send them to boarding and refreshers as well.

Kevin took our out of control 5-month heeler puppy for a month, and gave us back a true gift. We've always "had" dogs. Now we have an extremely well behaved companion. There is something revolutionary (pun intended) about not just "having" a dog, but actually having a companion who can go anywhere with you. Thanks to CRDT we now thoroughly enjoy having our dog around. Everywhere we go we get comments on his behavior, and people are amazed. It has opened the door to a whole new world of dog ownership. If you consider that you'll likely have a dog for 10-15 years, giving them a headstart at CRDT is a no-brainer. You will reap the benefits of truly enjoying your dog bring around you versus just 'having' a dog, for the entire life of the animal. Thank you so much Kevin and CRDT!!

Working with Canine Revolution and more specifically Trainer Chris was life changing for my family and our dogs.Throughout the process, Chris clearly explained the principles behind the training techniques in a manner that anyone can understand.Chris is very obviously extremely passionate about working with dogs and his enthusiasm is infectious. Our dogs Maple and Hickory still get extra excited when he comes to do follow-up visits because of the bond he was able to build with them.Overall our dogs have retained their playful and cuddly spirit, but are ready to work and obey as soon as we need them to. I can't thank Chris and Canine Revolution enough for their amazing work.

Our GSP Pearl is currently in transition training and doing fantastic. The trainer /client communication is one thing to highlight. After kevin spent 6 weeks with Pearl, himself and also the on call trainers have continued to follow up both in person and through the telephone with socializing aspects, and also to help us make the improvements with Techniques, equipment. The equipment is quality, sturdy and they will provide all the nessasaries to you if needing replaced. We are happy we have gone with canine revolution to help with training Pearl, and excited to see the milestones she's able to reach. It's worth every penny, and you won't regret it!

I just cannot say enough positive things about Canine Revolution and our appointed trainer, Chris. We have a wonderful, loving goldador, Gracie, who just happens to be 90 pounds and a lot stronger than me. She loved to jump on people she meets, would pull me the whole time we walked, and she is terrified of the trash truck and items that were not supposed to be there. But I kept saying Gracie will grow out it, and that training was too expensive.Gracie turned 3 in February and was not settling down. I decided that my life with my sweet Gracie just needed to be a little bit easier and started looking into training programs. Canine Revolution was the only program that I contacted that came to our home to meet Gracie and evaluate her as a client, without us having to pay for this service. Chris came to our home, bonded with Gracie and become her assigned trainer. I also paid a visit to where Gracie would be living for 4 weeks and appreciated having the opportunity to do this.We planned a good time for Gracie to train at Canine Revolution for 4 weeks while we would be traveling for part of the time. Chris came to our home and picked her up. While there we received 2 emails with videos each week, and right before coming home we received a 15 page packet of information regarding commands, what they worked on, steps moving forward and a review of her time there. Chris took Gracie to farmer's markets, shopping centers, Pet Smart, his home, parks etc. to help her with her anxiety and get her used to being out in the public. Then it was time to come home, and Chris brought Gracie to our house. She was very excited to see us! And now our training with her began. Chris spent the next few hours at the house showing me how to use the remote collar and commands. We worked on walking with Gracie, going to spot, practicing with the doorbell, and many other new commands.I cannot even begin to tell you how our lives have changed for the better! I can walk Gracie day or night through our neighborhood without anxiety! I can stop and talk to someone and Gracie will stay in her position and let me, and not jump on the person. A deer can cross and I am not worried about losing my Gracie, or having my back pulled out. We can have company over and Gracie will remain in her spot, and does not need to be crated while they are here. And I can sleep in as Gracie is happily sleeping in her kennel until 7 /7:30 a.m. and not waking us up at 5 a.m..On top of all this we are not on our own either. Chris and Canine Revolution have been available to respond to any questions that we have had. And we have 5 additional training sessions with Chris. Two so far have been in our home and our next one will be meeting Chris at the Summerville Farmers Market with Gracie. And group training is also available down the road with other graduates.I just am so happy that we found Canine Revolution and Chris, and I truly wish we had done this two years ago. I also believe that not only are we happy with how well behaved Gracie is, but that Gracie is also happy with the structure and knowing that her Mom and Dad will always be there for her, no matter how anxious she gets. We will have years and years of enjoyment with Gracie that simply will be that much more enjoyable as a result of her training with Canine Revolution.

I chose the off leash obedience course for my high drive German Shepherd and Kevin at Canine Revolution knocked it out of the park. I can finally take my dog out in public which is something I’ve always dreamed of being able to do with him. I adopted a dog from a rescue group. She had been used as a breeding dog. The breeder neglected her health and her eyes ulcerated bilaterally and as a result she is almost completely blind. She had never been socialized and hid under furniture. She was so anxious she shook violently. I had had her for a year and was making no progress. My daughter has used Canine Revolution with her new dog. She was greatly impressed. After conversing with Kevin , I drove my dog down from St. Louis. After 7 weeks, she is a new dog. She is enjoying her walks, doesn’t hide and stays on her spot throughout the day with me and my other pets. She now has a quality of life. Thank you Kevin and Canine Revolution

Our experience with Canine Revolution Dog Training (CRDT) has been absolutely amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our trainer, Lexy Smith, is incredible. She kept us well-informed at every step of the way and you can see that our dog (Skye) has genuine affection for Lexy. Skye was a rambunctious little puppy when she went into training, but she returned to us after the 4-week course as a well-behaved, but still lovable, energetic and fun-loving puppy. The hardest part, besides not seeing your dog for the duration of the training (aside from the twice weekly training videos), is maintaining the strict training regimen for 2-3 weeks after your pet returns home to reinforce with them that the behavioral expectations have not changed just because they are home again. All-in-all, we can’t say enough good things about CRDT and particularly our trainer Lexy. We highly recommend them.

I contacted Canine Revolution Dog Training to help my English mastiff Bigfoot learn some manners and stop destructive behaviors such as chewing on the furniture, breaking out of his kennel and pulling on his leash. Everyone at Canine Revolution was friendly and professional. They walked me through their training protocol and provided weekly updates and videos. Their balanced training approach was exactly what I was looking for and Chris was amazing. He answered all of my many questions and continues to check in on us from time to time. Thanks to Canine Revolution Dog training I have the kind of relationship with Bigfoot that I always wanted and we get to do so much more fun things together because he is well behaved.

Before sending my pup to Canine Revolution, my household was so stressful- it was clear I didn’t have the structure or knowledge needed to teach Ollie what to do, so he just did whatever, whenever, and I couldn’t understand why my life was chaotic and I wanted to cry on our walks 😂 I had inquired about their training when he was four months old but the price overwhelmed me. By the time he was a year old, I was about to LOSE IT. It was either rehome him or invest in our future together. I trusted CRDT for the four week board and train, as Dawn was so helpful with all of my questions and I had a bunch. I was NOT expecting the quality and level of customer service/alumni support that came with the training. At drop-off, Ollie was a new boy- and I was given clear instructions on how to help us all transition. Ollie’s trainer Kevin is SO helpful and knowledgeable, and so real & nonjudgmental! We are one week out of training and i feel so much more confident in myself and my dog, excited to keep learning, and so connected & supported every step of the way. The engagement of the trainers is so valuable. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Cliche but so true- Kevin & the CRDT crew gave us our lives back! Can’t wait for our next follow up and we plan to be regulars at the group classes. THANK YOU!!!!!

I couldn’t more strongly recommend Canine Revolution! Admitting to ourselves that our puppy, George, could benefit from training was the hardest part! Chad came out to meet with us before we even committed to booking and gave us an hour of his time and expertise. That was all the confirmation we needed that he and his team had the best interests of our family at the center of his business. We were thrilled to have Lexy assigned as George’s trainer. She was in regular contact, sent us photos and even supports us now, weeks after he’s come home. George’s behavior is incredible - he is well trained, but not a robot. His training taught him boundaries, manners and all we hoped for. So appreciate the Canine Revolution team and experience!

Our 7 year old dog, Keira, had become very reactive to other dogs while walking, to the point that we weren’t feeling safe taking her out.She did the four week course at Canine Revolution with Lexy as her trainer. We received weekly video updates which reassured us that she was doing well and set the foundation for the changes we would need to make when she returned home. Before Keira returned home we received a detailed training manual with information to set us up for success. When Lexy brought Keira home she spent a couple of hours answering our questions, teaching us how to use the remote collar and providing moral support. The ongoing follow up has been so helpful, Lexy had been available by text and email and has come back to our home to answer questions and provide advice. We did an alumni dog class which was a great confidence boost for Keira and us and we plan to continue the classes. We are completely satisfied with our experience and are giving full credit to Canine Revolution and Lexy for the positive changes in Keira ( and her owners). We highly recommend Canine Revolution and Lexy! Turns out you can teach old dogs new tricks.

I cannot say enough nice things about the helpfulness and professionalism of this team. They. Are. On. It! I want to express my gratitude for CRDT, and especially to my trainer, Kevin, for taking such great care of our boy; for diligently checking in with us before, during, and after he completed his training; for answering all of our questions and thoroughly addressing our concerns before we came on board and after we got home; and for being a genuinely nice guy who loves to help dogs have the best lives possible. I am incredibly impressed by the level of care and customer service we received from this company. They’re worth every penny.

What more can I say about Chad, Erin and the entire Canine Revolution team. We adopted an abandoned puppy named Georgia who was just struggling with her behavior and wasn’t integrating with our family and adult dog. After 4 weeks with Canine Revolution, she has the same sweet heart but now has the manners to go along with it. Instead of stress, Georgia provides sunshine. If we could rate Canine Revolution a 10 star rating, we would. Thank you Chad and Team!

Lexy at Canine Revolution was absolutely amazing!! I cannot recommend her enough. We got a Golden Retriever puppy with mountains of personality. I was initially against the the thought of paying for dog training but my wife finally convinced me to go for it. We decided to do the 6-Week board and train option. From the moment we met Lexy when she arrived at our house for the pick we knew we were in good hands. For the whole time during the training Lexy stayed in contact with us with multiple update videos and pictures. On the days leading up to the return Lexy was very thorough on the procedures and how things would go during the drop off. When I say there was a night and day difference in out little gremlin puppy that doesn't quite do it justice. Lexy turned our puppy into a well behaved gentleman of a puppy. We loved our puppies personality and that was part of our worries about taking him to training. We were worried it would change his personality but Lexy was able to create amazing behaviors without compromising his personality. Even in the follow up training and group classes the communication was amazing and the training was well worth the money. Lexy is an amazing trainer and I truly could not recommend her and canine revolution enough.

Let me start off by saying we are those people who love their dogs like children. They are allowed on the furniture, in the beds, kind of just do what we do.Backstory: I adopted a 3 year old dog who could no longer live in his home because he was getting in fights with the other dogs. He got along with my dogs and fit right into the pack. Fast forward a year and we had a baby. He was neurotic, would bark constantly, couldn’t be in the same room or see the baby. It wasn’t aggression he just was unable to control himself and didn’t know what to make of all the changes in his life. It was a stressful time for all of us. I cried, because I never want to be that person who has to rehome a dog who I’ve loved for so long. But the circumstances were different this time.Review: I reached out to canine Revolution begging for help. Starting with Dawn, she was quick to respond to my struggles. I think within an hour she was explaining their program. And she talked to me all for days and I believe over the weekend. Just based off responsiveness I already knew this was a great company. They let us tour the site before we committed to anything because I needed to know where my little guy was staying. Chris explained from a trainers standpoint. He was so personable and understanding to our struggles. He also listened to what our issues were and didn’t lie to what training he thought we needed. He could’ve said 6 weeks and we would’ve listened but he said 4 weeks. That’s a lot of money difference. That was already 2 points in their favor! Our trainer was Lexi who was great. She loved him in the 4 weeks he was away from home. Took him to all kinds of different places. A dog I couldn’t walk on a leash before came back and was ready to work. He’s a delight to have in the car. He now knows what we expect of him and how to behave. Most importantly, he is happy, gets his daily work and exists in the same room freely with the baby.I recommend canine Revolution to everyone who asks about a trainer. It was worth the time away and every single penny. If you’re wondering if it is worth it. It is. From one stressed out new mom/ dog mom sign your pup up.

If you are considering dog training, Canine Revolution is a game changer!I sent my puppy to CRDT and am THRILLED with the results!! She was out of control and upsetting my older dog so much I was desperate.Lexy worked wonders, and in two months my puppy obeyed commands, held her spot, understood potty training, and was able to integrate into our home happily and non destructively. These folks are wonderful to work with- very responsive to my questions as a client and they know DOGS! I have learned so much and will continue to use their boarding service as a “tune-up” opportunity.Happy client and Puppy!!Thanks Lexy and Chris- you guys ROCK❣️

Best Dog Trainers in Charleston and beyond! Canine Revolution trained our Golden Retriever when she was 16 weeks old. We selected the 8 week program (we wanted the maximum experience for our dog and extensive training that some people may not need but we found necessary). They do have shorter periods that are equally as effective for your basic training needs. We received weekly updates and videos of our little fur baby. When she returned home Millie not only remembered us but immediately went into training mode when our trainer Lexy requested. We were given an extensive rundown of how to maintain Millie’s schedule and adapt where we needed to our lifestyle. Remember DOGS ARE NOT ROBOTS. When they come home you HAVE to continue the training and put the time in to maintain your investment. If you start to get behind or ever have questions, the Canine Revolution team is right there to help. I am so grateful for their time and love they gave to our dog. She was a chewing, leashing pulling, poop on the floor, jump on you hyper dog when she left. When she returned we had a walk by your side, happily calm, no accidents, no chewing and eager to please dog. We get compliments all the time when we are out with her and we give all credit to Canine Revolution. We are also utilizing their kennel for trips so we can ensure she is safe and well kept after with the best team.

Having our dog trained at Canine Revolution has been absolutely life changing! We were so stressed trying to figure out how to get our dog trained and how to get our dog to understand what we wanted her to do. Going for walks had gotten unpredictable about how she would behave. We also wanted her to have good behavior with family and friends coming over to our house. The Pros at Canine Revolution answered all of our questions ahead of time and delivered excellent service. Kevin was our dog's professional trainer and he successfully gave us and our dog the results we needed. This is where we board our dog now when we go out of town because we are so happy with the reinforcement of her training...an added bonus. The bottom line is that it totally changed our relationship with our dog, that we loved but didn't know what to do, to loving and truly enjoying her without all the previous problems. She is still the sweet dog that she was but now she knows what we want and we know how to communicate with her. Hands down, worth every penny and one of the best decisions we've ever made.

I can’t say enough good things about these trainers. Chris T was amazing with our dog. We were just moving in from out of state and had a very difficult time getting our dog here, but they were so flexible and they worked with us and made it so easy. Everyone we dealt with was great. There’s no other place I’d recommend.

Kevin is amazing! We were dealing with major aggression issues with our rescue dog and thought he was never going to get better. We had been through 3 trainers and nothing changed. Finally we found Canine Revolution Dog training and Gary is a new dog after the 4 week program! They continue to follow up and offer so many opportunities to maintain the training. 10/10 would recommend!

Our 2 dogs attend the advanced training at CRDT and we couldn't be more pleased. Walks are much more fun than they used to be, no dashing out the door, etc. Off leash and recall practices are so much fun! The follow up sessions and group classes are pure gold. Kevin, sent regular videos and pics of our dogs while in training, is always prompt at meeting times, and is quick to answer any questions we have. The long-term support is exemplary!

My 2y/o Great Dane was suffering from ptsd, separation anxiety, and exhibiting aggressive behavior following a break in at home. He was a nightmare to control in a leash, never listened and would lunge to attack other dogs and people walking anywhere he could see. After sending him for training the difference is night and day. He now can be taken everywhere we go and is a model dog. He no longer pulls on the leash, sits and stays even if he isn’t being interacted with, follows off leash commands. We couldn’t be happier with the results we received.

When the Federal Express driver stops his truck to tell you that he has never seen a better behaved dog- and he sees a lot of dogs- it is time to write a review for Chad and CRDT! Rowdy, our 6 month old English Shepherd, recently completed the 4 week board and train. Before training my neighbors described him as “an out of control puppy”- he would lunge and bark at cars, golf carts and bikes, he would not come when called, he was like a sled dog when we walked him. Walking on the Spanish Moss trail where we live in Beaufort was a nightmare since he would jump at people and dogs. The CRDT mantra is to “preserve the personality of the dog.” And Chad did just that- Rowdy came back from training with his quirky and loving personality but my neighbors- and our family- describe him as an entirely different dog. This is the best dog training experience we have had- and we have owned 6 dogs. Highly recommend CRDT!

I rescued my pup Coco shortly after being trained at canine revolution, and they changed the course of her life! She was reactive, insecure, and headed towards euthanasia, when CRDT stepped in. Canine revolution taught her to trust and enjoy life again through their leadership and accountability principles of training. Hands down the best training program in the greater Charleston area. Will continue to send all of my future dogs and refer friends here!

If you are looking for training for your dog, look no further. CRDT is the best in the business!Kevin transformed our mini schnauzer! I was initially hesitant about sending him, because he would be two hours away. But- I am so glad we did. Kevin has also trained my sisters pup.Our lives are so much easier now that he has graduated from training. Public outings are enjoyable, and he listens and behaves. The boarding program is another amazing perk with CRDT. I have piece of mind when we are going out of town, and I love the fact that he can receive refresher sessions during boarding.CRDT IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!

Very kind professional trainer, Kevin. I felt confident my dog was well cared for and trained with great care. They are easy to contact and eager to answer training questions. My dog was wagging and happy to see the trainer on our home follow up visit. I can’t wait to join the monthly training sessions. They are awesome!

If you are considering training for your pup this is the place for you! You will not worry while you are away from your pet. They will send you updates and videos while they are away. The follow up sessions and group classes (also in between emails and questions answered throughout) solidify training for you and your pet to make the transition home a stress free experience. They are so awesome we use them for boarding FREQUENTLY! You will thank yourself when it is all done and forever have a family of support in the revolution!

I truly can't speak highly enough about Canine Revolution's training program: the work they do is nothing short of incredible. Pickles was always a good dog, but after training from Chris, she is a GREAT dog. (And it goes without saying, training me to be a better and more responsive owner, too.)In my opinion, one of the things that sets them apart from other obedience classes and programs is the continuing education. I can (and do) text or email my trainer Chris literally all the time, and he always responds with thorough feedback and tips - including, I might add, on Thanksgiving holiday. He came to my home one week following the training to check my progress. There are alumni group classes so I can practice skills in a safe and structured setting.

Our Roxie is a 65 lb "Great American Dog" we adopted 5 years ago. We don't know her story, but she's been a good dog from Day 1. We'd always thought about getting her some formal training so she could become a great dog!We met a dog that had been through Canine Revolution training, and were so impressed we looked into the training further. After some discussions with the Canine Revolution team, we decided to send Roxie to their 4-week "Boot Camp", as we call it. Chris was Roxie's trainer, and sent us videos 1-2 times a week to give us the opportunity to see her progress. Roxie did great under their training and care, and in 4 weeks had become the great dog we knew she could be! And not only did Canine Revolution train her, they trained us how to be better owners as well!As we continue to reinforce the training at home and build our own pack structure, Roxie just gets better and better! We have begun taking her places with us we would have been reluctant to go with a less-obedient dog, so you may see us with her in dog-friendly stores and restaurants!Canine Revolution Dog Training isn't just a team of great dog trainers. They are supportive, informative, and caring people who are creating a community of well-trained dogs and owners! Chris continues to provide us with follow-up visits and is available to answer any training questions we might have. We are extremely happy to be a part of the Canine Revolution family and community!!

Sending our one year old Golden to Canine Revolution has been one of the best decisions we've ever made! They are absolutely a 5-Star business. They were recommended to us by a friend who sent two dogs in succession to their program. After speaking to Canine Revolution through e-mail and a phone call with one of the trainers, I felt very comfortable signing up for the 4 week training class. We were so happy with Lexy from the minute we met her! She was patient with all my questions and concerns and always got back to me very promptly when I texted her. We LOVED that we got videos and training advice twice per week and were amazed at the progress they were making. And- he looked so happy in every video!Journey was a strong leash-puller and had issues with doing zoomies in the house and on leash. I knew I needed help since I wanted to enjoy his companionship and not just struggle with the advice and training we had at puppy school prior to Canine Revolution.Lexy identified his personality traits which really helped me to understand why he was behaving the way he was. She was able to correct all of the issues and returned the dog of my dreams to our family. He is still fun and goofy, but he speaks the same language as us now, and is eager to impress us with his good behavior. For me, learning to relax on his spot and taking peaceful runs/walks together has been the highlight of all of his new skills. Also, I am so grateful for the boarding they offer. I don't feel guilty because I know he's having fun and being held accountable for his behavior.Thank you Lexy and Canine Revolution! We'll recommend you to others with full confidence in your trainers and programs.

Honestly I don’t know where to start! Our Reggie was definitely borderline uncontrollable when it came to public settings, vet visits and walks but after the 4 week session with Kevin we have hope!! We no longer have to be dragged around our neighborhood by our 70lb fur baby and he rarely gets distracted on our walks like he did before! The biggest change is now we can actually relax within our home without him being all up in our faces, jumping on us and other people when they walk through the door. Training him to a specific “spot” has given us more control and we couldn’t be happier! Reggie is only 2 and still has that puppy energy but we can actually control it better now that Kevin laid the foundation we needed to give him the best life possible! Thank you so much Kevin!

Canine Revolution Dog Training has given us a life with our dogs outside of the house that we had only dreamed possible. After their 4 weeks with Kevin, we could see an immediate difference. We have been able to walk them every day in public places, their anxiety levels have dropped immensely, distractions are becoming less and less. While we were apprehensive about what would happen to the dogs during training and afterwards, we now look at their behavior and can recognize all the things we had done wrong and how to correct our behavior to help them.We cannot say enough great things about Canine Revolution, their professionalism, and their love for the dogs. Their program has shown immediate results and their continuing education and interaction is helping take the training, for both the dogs and us, beyond where it is at today for a better life.

Canine revolution was the best program we could have put our dog in! Cabela, our Saint Bernard, came back to us after a four week program and was a new dog. We can now take Cabela in public places, walk without pulling on the leash, go out to outdoor restaurants while she lays down peacefully without whining, listens to direction, is disciplined and is not distracted by other animals. It is a night and day change that has made our experience as dog owners ten times more enjoyable! Thank you Lexi and the Canine Revolution team for training Cabela!

We just got our Shepherd Husky mix Gracie back from her 4 week stay. Can’t thank our trainer Chris enough for the work he and the team did with her. We can already see a major difference in Gracie. We are now enjoying walks with her instead of being pulled around the neighborhood. We are also not fearful of running into another dog on our walks. We are very excited to be able to include Gracie in many more family activities now that we couldn’t do in the past. The provided handbook and follow up lessons are key to the training. We are grateful for this added benefit. If you are struggling with obedience with your family dog, don’t hesitate to sign them up with Canine Revolution. Well worth the investment as you are essentially getting a trainer for life with all the extra benefits you receive after completing the course. Thanks again Chris and Chad along with your entire team!

Sending our new rescue dog to Canine Revolution was one of the best decisions we’ve made! When we first got our rescue, he was leash reactive, suffering from bad separation anxiety, and virtually impossible to walk. Now he is a dream to walk, sleeps peacefully in his crate at night, and is just a calmer, happier dog overall. We are blown away by the transformation! Special thanks to trainer Lexy who is magical Dog Whisperella! We are so grateful to you guys for giving our dog a second chance at living a happy, full life. We are all enjoying life more now. Highly recommend 10/10.

This is a team that absolutely cares about what they do. Their positive attitude and professionalism shines through in the dogs. They also provide great resources and follow up after the training. Our rescue pitbull, Barney, was on his own program until he returned from the basic training course. Along with learning basic commands, he now understands the pack structure and no longer wanders off. Money we'll spent.

Kudos to Canine Revolution! About six months ago, we adopted a pit mix dog named Linus. Linus is two years old and had not had much training before coming to live in our home. Linus is deaf which brought other challenges. He was counter surfing, ripping up any pillow, sheet, shoe, etc. He was also licking the walls and digging holes in the backyard. At night, it was hard for us to relax and watch TV because he would get bored and would paw and bark at us. Also, he would pull on the leash and would not walk with me After four weeks at Canine Revolution, Linus was a changed dog. No more counter surfing, no more licking the walls or digging in the backyard. He walks on the leash beautifully and will sit and do the down command. When we motion for him to go to his spot which is a suspension bed in the corner of the living room, he will go. He would also try to chase our cats and he will not do this now as he will stay on his spot. I couldn’t believe it! My husband and I highly recommend Canine Revolution! Thank you Kevin for doing a wonderful job!!

We rescued a 6 yr old Chocolate Lab that we knew had some possessive and aggressive behavior related to food and toys. I thought that I could manage him because I had owned several dogs. After one year of many incidents, we sent him to Chad and his crew for 6 weeks. He was a different dog when he returned, and with the advice and continuing support provided by Chad, we now have a dog that will listen and obey, rather than becoming aggressive. We use Canine Revolution's boarding services and I am amazed that the dogs in training are always under control when we arrive at the facility.

We enrolled our Labradoodle in the Canine Revolution Training Program when she was approximately one year old. We were able to watch her progress with videos of her in training. The results of the training were outstanding. In the year following, we have contacted the trainer, Kevin, for advice in dealing with any behavior questions that we had. He has responded quickly, with great recommendations, and even offered to visit our home if it would be helpful. We cannot say enough about the great staff and programs at Canine Revolution.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and reliable team of individuals to train your dog, look no further. This is a first class organization that not only pours their knowledge into your dog, but also into you as the owner. They go above and beyond to ensure there is a common understanding of not only what they are teaching your dog, but how to continue that training and upholding the standard upon their arrival back home. The return on investment you receive is second to none, so long as you follow the customized handbook they send you home with. 11/10 experience with this program and Kevin as the head trainer for my 2 yr old Belgian Malinois.

Lexi did an AMAZING job with my puppy! We are so happy with her. My puppy would bark, pull the leash, and we didn’t know what to do. Utter chaos. The advanced training did the trick. Everything she does is specific and her communication with us (including the dog) was second to none. We are so happy with the outcome - thank you canine revolution!

I can not thank Canine Revolution enough for the amazing work they did with my dog, not the same dog that went into training, she is 1000 times improved, and I did not think it was going to be possible. I really appreciate Kevin, he worked so hard with Mila, sent video updates, and has kept in contact after the training. Some background on our 16 month old dog before I get into what a wonderful service Canine Revolution Dog Training is. My husband and I rescued a puppy in 2021 called Nile from the Bahamas, a potcake as they call dogs on the island. When he came to our home in New York, since he was an island dog we renamed him Coakley, after a bay in St. Croix. We moved to South Carolina 6 months ago and like most young dogs they are full of energy and he developed a lot of habits that we strongly felt were just not right. Strong leash pulling, barking, separation anxiety to name a few. Local pet store training once a week back in NY and also here in SC didn't cut it. We needed some serious training. Through research on the internet my husband found Canine Revolution Dog Training which is owed by Chad Singer. SO GLAD HE DID! We chose the advanced 4 week program and although Coakley was gone for that period of time he came back a new dog. The training they provided, including with a remote collar was amazing. More amazing is his trainer Kevin Miller! When he came to our home to pick Coakley up he was attentive to our concerns and treated us and Coakley with utmost respect. We received weekly video/emails of his training and we were amazed after the first 4 days how wonderful Coakley behaved on his first video! When he came home Kevin gave us written instructions, demonstrated the commands and made us feel so comfortable and capable of continuing Coakley's training. He schedules follow-up sessions at our home and he always answers our questions and addresses our concerns! We meet at parks for group lessons, at stores for training and we can always email, text or call Kevin and he responds always in a timely manner. It takes work from us also as owners and like Kevin told us, stick with it and Coakley will continually improve. Coakley has been home with us for about a month now and with dedication by us and Kevin we are soooo happy beyond words! We highly recommend Canine Revolution Dog Training, Chad, Kevin, and all the other trainers and assistants who have worked with Coakley to give us back a precious gift, a well behaved dog!

The team at K9 Revolution helped our pup become a happier, calmer dog. When we call K9 Revolution our dog had major anxiety resulting in bad behavior and a lot of unnecessary barking. The obedience training and structure provided by their program taught us how to manage our family member better and provide structure that eased her anxiety. She is a brand new dog! She still has her spirit and is very cuddly but she is calmer and happier and knows the rules of the house. I couldn’t be more grateful to our trainer Chris and the team at K9 Revolution. Worth every penny! Thank you ❤️

My wife and I got our yellow lab mix Willie from Eunoia Rescue down here in Charleston. While Willie is as sweet as it gets he certainly needed some guidance when it came to his behavior. Chad responded to me in a timely manner and immediately set up a time to talk over the phone. After following Chad's advice for a few weeks, we eventually met up and introduced Willie to the remote collar. Chad was incredibly knowledgeable on this training tool as well as able to relay the teaching information to myself. My wife and I are extremely grateful to Chad for his help with our pup and I would recommend him 10 times out of 10 to anyone looking for professional dog training advice!

CRDT has forever changed my life as a dog owner! They are phenomenal dog trainers!! They are dedicated to not only training your dog, but also to equipping owners with the tools and confidence to continue training at home and enhance the dog-owner relationship. Before training, my rescue pup had severe separation anxiety, and as a dominant dog, he lacked respect for me as his handler. He’d howl so bad in his crate during the work day that it’d sound like a farm animal was being killed in my home, and I’d come home from work to a crate with bent bars, a ripped up crate bed and a stressed out dog. Despite walking for 2 hours in the morning, it was like he was never exhausted enough to just settle in his crate. On walks he would fixate on anything that breathed and would pull on the leash. If he wasn’t directly supervised in the house, he’d chew on cords or knock the trash can over to eat it’s contents.Upon arrival home from training, there was already a world of difference in my dogs behavior, and this time when my dog would test limits, I had the tools and knowledge to hold him accountable. Within a week, I could see the respect my dog was building for me. We’re now a little over 2 months out of training, and my life as a dog owner is typically a breeze day to day. My dog heels beside me for a morning walk with no deviation unless I allow him to walk elsewhere. Squirrels, rabbits, people and other dogs have him completely unfazed. He is typically asleep in his crate during the day before I even leave the house most days. And for me, most excitingly, he looks up to me for direction and command when in training mode or when spoken to. All of this to say, he’s not always in training mode… he gets to be a dog too, however, he knows now that his privileges are earned and can be taken away just as easily as they’re given.I couldn’t say more good things about the work that CRDT does. They continue to support owners after training. They’re always willing to troubleshoot situations that come up after training. They recognize hard work that owners continue after training when you put the effort into it. They are who I’d trust, a million times over, with my dogs! Training with CRDT is worth every penny of your money!!

Worth every penny! This team is amazing. It’s been a year since contacting CRDT to train my girl. I remain pleased with the results achieved by Kevin and the team. Before training, I was ready to re-home her, and skeptical to reach out, having contacted other training companies. I found their website and read their bio’s thinking “this is perfect”.They got her in the 8-week board/train program while I relocated between states. CRDT was 100% accommodating, helpful, and honest. Each staff member, from drop off, to coming home, kept me informed, answered questions quickly, and treated my family and dog perfectly. The highlight of the training was update videos each week - I asked Kevin if it was really my dog in them, or a well-behaved clone of her, only a week or more into the program! I also used the boarding service for crazy work/travel schedules; they accommodated well even for my time crunches. The training for my girl changed the atmosphere of my home and life from chaos to peaceful. I still use their education, training tools, and behavior-mod techniques (both owner and dog - can’t leave myself out of the responsibility). If I had to do it over again, I would not hesitate.

Canine Revolution is absolutely phenomenal! My organization, Eunoia Rescue, has worked with Canine Revolution to rehabilitate several of our dogs over the past several years, and we will never use another board and train facility! We have sent dog aggressive, human aggressive, and extremely fearful dogs to them— and every single dog has come back to us in a position where they could easily be adopted. They have quite literally helped us save close to a dozen lives via their training and guidance! From the initial coordination of a consultation with the dog in need, to the follow up sessions post-training, I have felt at ease every step of the way, with every dog.Communication is excellent, and I never felt in the dark or worried as to how our dogs may be doing. The update videos that come twice a week make you feel involved in the training process, and prepare you for the return of your pup! And the incredibly detailed handbook is everything I could ever wish for— explaining the science behind their training techniques, breaking down the commands/hand motions, and providing a list of recommended supplies really makes the reintegration process smooth. The cherry on top is that it is extremely evident how much the entire team at Canine Revolution cares for the dogs they train! Not only are there practices in place that keep up the training post-training, but they also are incredibly helpful in helping us select the best adopters for our dogs, paying special attention to that particular dog’s individual needs.I am forever grateful for the amazing work Canine Revolution does, and recommend them every chance I can get! I look forward to a long partnership with Chad and his team!

We signed up our 5-month old French Bulldog for their 4-week Advanced Course. Having a little apprehension of turning our 9 lb puppy over to total strangers doesn't need muh explanation. However, when Chris came to pick her up at the house all fears immediately dissipated. He was professional and knowledgable of the breed. He walked us through every step and concern we had. We got videos twice a week of her progress and all of our emails and texts of questions were answered promptly. After 4 weeks, Chris continues to be a part of her training, and most importantly ours. I highly recommend CRDT for any breed with any training or behavior concerns. 5 stars isnt enough for this group of professionals.

My dog Juniper was an absolute tornado of a dog before Kevin and his team did their magic. She is smart, and also very easily distracted. The dog we have now is focused, obedient, and loyal while still retaining her inner wild child. I appreciated everything Canine Revolution have done for me and my family. And even now that she is an alum of their program there is still plenty of support, classes she can go to and always someone to call if I have any questions or problems. I can't recommend this team enough. Best thing I've done for a dog, hands down. If you're on the fence, do it. You'll be happy you did.

My husband and I can not say enough great things about Canine Revolution. To walk our dog before the training was a chore and the only person that could really handle Bo’s pulling was my husband. He has pulled our sons down a few times during walks. Now, walking Bo is enjoyable. He learned so much while he was there but the change in our walks was completely worth it! We have also used them for boarding after our training was complete. The grooming service Canine offers is the best around. We recommend Canine to everyone and would definitely use them again!

Canine Revolution should be the only place you consider sending your dogs for training. Chad and his team take their responsibility extremely seriously when it comes to the care and attention they pay your pets. Not only do they instill a superior level of training protocols in your dogs, but they also give you all of the knowledge you could ever need to continue to be successful with them. Kevin has trained all three of our boys, and their behavior as well as their listening has been night and day. Our dogs were incredibly reactive to outside distractions before their stay at Canine, to the point where our one would lash out at our other dogs when he would become overwhelmed. Now, thanks to Kevin, they understand the pack structure of our family, and fall back on their training to maintain their positioning and behavioral structure. They also offer a boarding program that is probably the most undervalued part of the entire training process. Knowing that we can have our dogs stay with people that we completely trust whenever we travel is more peace of mind than we could ever imagine. I cannot say enough good things about Canine Revolution, and if you love your dogs as much as we love ours, make the right choice and send them. It’s the best decision you will ever make for you and your pets.

They know their stuff and provide updates along the way in addition to resources once your dog comes home. I can’t say enough good things about them, my dog came home the best boy and has skills that not only improved my quality of life but his as well.

Sent my 16 week old Aussie to do their advanced program. Kevin and the team did a great job. Transition period back to the house went smoothly. We are consistently off leash in most activities unless a leash is required. We loved the results and have decided to send our 3 year old bulldog to get their basic training.Their monthly trainings sessions are just the icing on the cake allowing you to reenforce and practice skills with other trained dogs

I’ve had dogs my whole life, wish I could have had Canine Revolution train them all! They did such a great job training my golden retriever as well as training me and my daughters. Max is such a great member of our family now. He goes everywhere with us and always behaves. They taught us all how to communicate with Max. I looked at other trainers but I liked the positive aspect of Canine revolution. Almost went with another until I met her dog, it was a robot. We now have a furry family member that impresses everyone that meets him. He still has his loving personality, just loves to please us and is such a joy to have around. Please, please if you have a dog do him/her and yourself a huge favor and call Canine revolution. Dogs are the only animal on earth that has truly made an alliance with man, let them show you how to enjoy that love!

AMAZING TRAINERS! We sent our almost 3 year old/slightly anxious/super energetic mix to the 4 week board and train with Canine Revolution and could not be happier! I am so amazed at the work they can do and how simple it makes the communication with our dog! They definitely exceeded our expectations and we are loving life with our much better behaved girl! THANK YOU!!!

I highly recommend Canine Revolution Dog training. I wanted to have better lifestyle, I wanted to understand my dog better, I wanted to have well behaved, happier dog and all of that is happening after my dog Blu went to the advance training program with The Revolution. I would describe the communication with the team as responsive, informative and polite. There is a language barrier in my case, and everyone I communicate with went out of their way making sure I understand them correctly. Lexy and Chad were working with my dog Blu, but when we went to the first group class I realise the other trainers also knew my dog. They truly, truly love what they do. If you ask me was it worthed to send my dog to CRDT, I would say, YES….it was…100%.

Our Rocky is a BAC rescue who was around 3 years old when we took him home. At this age we were his fourth owners. He was greatly reactive to anything that moved, people, cars, trucks and golf carts. It was embarrassing the way he would lunge and bark and growl loudly. Stressful for him and me. When I did my research I decided on CRDT. Worth every penny. Chris and Lexy did an amazing job and couldn't believe it was the same dog when they brought him back. I enjoy walking him and it is stress free for both of us. Our neighbors have also commented on well he has done. They are always there when you have questions and their follow up sessions at your home after their 4 weeks are up are invaluable. I would recommend their program to anyone who wants a well behaved dog.Two thumbs up and 5 plus stars. Thanks so much.

F.A.Q

What kind of training methods do you use?

We train in a balanced, rewards-based dog training system.  What this means is that we are going to teach your dog through rewards.  Most commonly we will use food rewards to build focus and engagement and teach the dog obedience behaviors.  Once the dog fully understands the expected behaviors, we will then begin to randomize rewards and begin to hold the dog accountable for disobedience with a leash.  Once a dog understands accountability with a leash, we will then condition the dog to a remote collar which allows you to control your dog’s behavior from a distance or off-leash.  After the dog has a full understanding of reward and accountability, we will proof all training through distraction work by taking them to a wide variety of places (hardware store, park, restaurant, coffee shop, farmer’s market, beach, etc) and ensure they understand the training even with distractions present.

Where will my dog stay during training?

All dogs enrolled in a training program will stay at our Lead Trainer’s home for the duration of training.  He has converted an entire area of the home for dog’s to remain at.  Your dog will be fed twice a day (unless special dieting requires more or less feeding), exercised a minimum of twice per day, and be trained throughout the day.  Anytime the Lead Trainer, other trainers, or caretakers are not present, or the Lead Trainer is asleep at night, your dog will remain in a kennel.  Dogs that have had previous bad experiences with kennels are rehabilitated to view the kennel as a good place to be.

Do you use electronic collars in your training?

We do not believe that a remote collar (electronic collar) should be the “backbone” of any training system, however it is an extremely valuable training tool that we can utilize.  Once a dog is taught all expectations and obedience work we will condition them to a remote collar.  This is because we consider the remote collar to be your “invisible leash”, meaning you will be able to influence and control your dog’s behavior with a remote collar off-leash or from a distance.  The sensation from a remote collar is very similar to a TENS unit, however it is something that our dogs have never experienced before so it can be surprising to them.  We have an extremely thorough process to teach the dog what the sensation from the remote collar means and how to respond to it that the dog clearly understands.  We DO NOT endorse the use of remote collars without thorough and appropriate conditioning for the individual dog.  Remote collar conditioning should only take place after the proper relationship building, teaching of expectations, and training have occurred.

How much do your services cost?

We have a wide variety of training services and programs available.  All of our board & train programs vary in pricing depending on the length of training and are paid in two payments.  Our behavior modification and rehabilitation services depend on the level of rehabilitation required (determined at consultation) and are added to a board & train program.  Our specialty training is typically conducted in a “private lesson” format and priced depending on the amount of work required for the particular dog with the selected specialty program.  Seminars and clinics depend on the topic and number of attendees in the event.  We do offer services outside of the lowcountry area however we do charge for mileage and travel operating costs for travel requirements.  Contact us to discuss particular fees for your situation and desires.

Do you offer Group Classes?

We offer group classes for all alumni who have graduated from one of our board & train programs so that we can continue to support the relationship they have with their dog.  We do not offer group classes for non-alumni.  If there is a group of friends who would like to train together, we can set up a seminar and / or clinic, or a series of them, to help them work with their dogs.  This will be dependent on the individual dogs in the group, some dogs are not compatible for this type of teaching environment.

My dog has already mastered all obedience commands / behaviors. Do you offer a lower rate to only treat anxiety / insecurity / etc.?

If your dog has already mastered all obedience commands / behaviors, you must be able to demonstrate this on a level that is equal to the obedience that we train.  We typically ask to meet with you in a distracting environment such as a market, hardware store, outlet mall, park, etc.  Your dog must be able to demonstrate the following obedience behaviors:

-Heel (left side of body)

-Stay (Down position) for 20 minutes with varying distances between dog and owner

-Recall from a minimum of 15 yards away

If your dog can demonstrate these obedience behaviors, we will evaluate your dog and can provide a lower rate to treat specific undesirable behaviors.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes we offer discounts for active duty, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and for multiple dogs being trained.

Do you have a wait list?

We typically have a two month or greater wait list.  In order to reserve a training spot we require a signed contract.  We can either email a contract to you upon request or bring one with us to a free in-home consultation at your house.

My dog has bitten 9 people, my friends say I should euthanize him. Do you think you can train him?

There is no need to euthanize your dog, we have rehabilitated many dogs that had a biting history and have yet to encounter a dog that could not be trained or rehabilitated.  The process to achieve rehabilitation is not easy, we must change the dog’s association of the cause for biting.  We do this through a proven process that follows this progression: build trust, build engagement and focus, teach obedience behaviors, socialization, proof all behaviors in distraction work.  Once your dog has completed training and returns home, you must maintain your dog’s training, but we will be here to support you every step of the way through training sessions, follow-up sessions, our alumni online resource, facebook alumni community group, alumni group classes, and you can always call, text, or email us.  What maintenance of training entails on a daily basis is physical exercise and daily obedience practice as well as maintaining the provided structure and boundaries.  We also recommend that you perform socialization and distraction work at least twice per month, which can be done by attending our free alumni group classes.
